"beautifully bizarre puppets and exceptional ability to bring them to life" Chris Hislop FringeReview

Are your children loud, creative, messy, silly and like rude noises? They will love this show!

"Beginnings" is a slightly surreal family show inspired by Punch and Judy and slapstick ridiculousness which tells the story of a beleaguered creator as he struggles with his latest creation accompanied by a fantastically loud drum kit.

A wrinkly old puppet reads a book as his home-help sleeps and his butler plays the drums. Inspired by his reading he resolves to make a make-believe world from a garage light, a tarpaulin and take away packets. Helping him are a fly, a rubber snake and a one armed baby!

This is noisy, punchy and deliciously disgusting theatre for young audiences.

" “Beginnings” is a quirky and very funny show from the perspective of an eccentric puppet creator. Helen Ainsworth’s use of everyday objects as metaphors is clever and witty. "
